Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Ethical Gift Guide: Her

Ethical Gift Guide: Her

Can you believe it’s only 10 days until Christmas!? Apologies for the delay in this post but hopefully it’s worth it if you’re still stuck for some gift ideas for her! You guys know I love Biome and they have very kindly sent me a couple of bits to include in this post, but as always all opinions are completely my own. I’ve tried to cover all bases and budgets - so whether it’s your mum, sister or friend, I hope this sparks some “oh she’ll love that!” moments.

SOL Aroma Diffuser. This is gorgeous. Made from sustainable bamboo and glass, this is such a simple piece that you can customise to make it any smell you like. It also doubles as a humidifier which is great, and only needs a couple of drops of any nice essential oil to create a lovely smelling space. I also think this is one of those things that you don’t really tend to buy for yourself because it’s a bit luxurious!

Fruit and Veg Mesh Bags. These are just SUCH a handy thing to have to pop fruit and veg in at the supermarket so you’re not constantly using the plastic bags, and they also make a great stocking filler. I featured these in my simple ethical kitchen swaps if you want some more ideas for this department.

Grow Your Own Tea Kit. Isn’t this just the cutest!? Would make a great secret santa present too, and I love that it doesn’t involve anything super complicated so it doesn’t have to be for the green thumb gal. I think there could be a bit of mug design improvement but it’s super cute.

Mighty Good Undies. These are soooo comfy and are completely fairtrade and organic. Every single step of the production process is thoughtful and cared about, ensuring every person involved is paid fairly for their time and efforts, as well as using materials not costing the earth. A perfect gift for someone who has everything (because everyone needs basics right).

2019 Diary. I love the stationary options which I rave about in my kicking goals post, and this is no exception. A classic present but this is an extra beautiful one from Earth Greetings. I love the colourful inside and unless they’ve already got one, it’s pretty hard to go wrong with a nice diary as a Christmas present.

Brown Paper Insulated Lunch Bag. I think this is really fun and great for the person you know takes lunch to work (or maybe who doesn’t and this will encourage them to!). Insulated to keep things cool and perfect for toting to work, festivals, picnics… you can even customise the outside by drawing on it!

Festive Room Spray. This smells divine. I love this because it’s basically the smell of aussie christmas in a bottle and can be sprayed anywhere and everywhere. Another great stocking filler.

Rose Gold Reusable Razor. A bit out of the ordinary but such a useful present and bonus points for the rose gold handle right!? You only have to replace the blades so it’s SO much more environmentally friendly than constantly buying plastic razors.

Insulated Glass Flask. I’ve had one of these for ages from a different brand and it’s so great for carrying tea or fruit infused water EXCEPT that mine had seal issues (probably because it was used so much) so I tended to only use it for coffee. This one looks a lot sturdier than mine and a lot classier.

Biome also have Christmas wrapping paper and cards that are eco-friendly, or you can do what I did and cut up brown paper bags that seem to accumulate in my study draw. Where else do you like getting cards or gifts from? Let me know in the comments! Also a heads up that if you didn’t see on my Instagram, I’m taking some time off the blog. Thank you SO much for reading this post and any post this year, whether it was one or all of them… and keep an eye out for the exciting things to come in 2019! x
